It is difficult to get near the flocks of Miners at Gluepot. They seem to have look out birds who call warnings if you get near the flock and they then fly to nearby trees, just far enough away to ensure any birder is unable to view them clearly through binoculars!

The flocks are made up of mostly Yellow-throated Miner with a couple of hybrid Black-eared Miner but it seems there are no pure Black-eared Miners left at Gluepot.
